It’s What you don’t see that matters most

If you’ve seen our socials, you might’ve noticed that we post a lot of pictures of our members deadlifting.

Sometimes it’s someone pulling their bodyweight for the very first time. Other times, it’s someone lifting twice their bodyweight for a big set of reps. 

We love showcasing those moments because the deadlift is one of the most powerful exercises a person can learn. There’s really no other movement that requires the same level of coordination between muscles, joints, and the nervous system. 

When done well, it’s a beautiful display of full-body strength and skill.

But while we take a lot of pride in helping our members get strong – in a responsible and sustainable way – it’s actually what you can’t see in those pictures that we’re most proud of.

Many of the members you see on our social media didn’t walk through our doors as “lifters.” 

Quite the opposite. 

Some arrived with real concerns about back or knee pain. 

Others had no idea how they were going to fit workouts into an already packed schedule of work, family, and responsibilities. 

Some had never done strength training before, while others were coming off long layoffs and weren’t sure where to begin again.
